She wants to run far free, from gumdrop eyes, fickle pickle lips
who watch her life’s movie, she runs through hallways, runs to China
sold for hugs and kisses, a soul unclothed…naked in ‘all ways

Your poem and photo make my heart so sad. I’m learning that this horrific trade is also very prolific on our shores. 300,000 US minors on average are trafficked annually in the US. That is minors, not adults. And in the US, the use of women from overseas is dwindling as it has become too risky. Traffickers are luring more minors, as this is considered of little threat. How sad. How angering. God weeps, and we must as well. Thanks for bringing this up – it isn’t an easy thing to do.
