Once upon a time

there was a princess

who was trapped 

under the shoe

of a giant

who had decided to take a nap

and never wake up

she was quite stuck

until

an elegant wolf

came walking along

swinging his cane and singing 

songs 

about primroses and 

oh! Just fields 

of promises

he told her stories

about how he could rescue her

with

a little nibble here

and another nibble there 

til her arm grew smaller 

and smaller

and she 

just disappeared

(Yes… there is absolutely  no moral to this story except a huge sigh of relief that when I find myself trapped beyond unbelief.. God still intervenes)
