the warble of a rose
looking for someone to dance with,
the kiss
of a dog who wants to share love,
a tuna sandwich
begging to be eaten
oh wait…
does that fit here?
petals and noses and kisses and love and …
poets and readers
and
maybe even a roll on a plate
looking for a mouth…
me & my big mouth
looking for ears to fill,
listening
for someone to hear
prattling around for a way to tell you
thank you
for giving me a voice
even
when others thought I had nothing
to say
