I was born in the Florida Keys, but grew up in the Bay Area before migrating south to the San Joaquin Valley. As I ride barefoot around Fresno, I consider the paths I’ve chosen and the crossroads where our country seems to have perched itself.
I am a Chicano poet who loves welcoming the sunrise with my Native American flute and is currently trying to learn how to play the quena… am published in some lit journals, welcomed into my Latino heritage by Letras Latinas as a finalist for the 2022 Andres Montoya Contest held out of Notre Dame, looking forward to October, when my first poetry collection, Kadupul Flower, will be published by Green Writers Press.
I am also a plant eating, wanna be handywoman, Covid surviving, rewilding environmentalist who is in love with Jesus, because He loved me first..
and loves me best:)
