My name is Kimberly Vargas Agnese, though I've previously written as Kae Bucher. I was born in the Florida Keys, but grew up in the Bay Area before migrating south to the San Joaquin Valley. As I ride barefoot around Fresno, I consider the paths I've chosen and the crossroads where our country seems to have perched itself. Thanks to my Romani ancestry, many people groups reside within me and my poetry tends to reflect this. I love welcoming the sunrise with my Native American flute. I've been rumored to juggle while teaching students how to write. And if you can't find me, I'm probably hanging out with Jesus listening to parables.

  1. You should try being a care giver for an abusive mother

    All I ever hear from peoples is that she is my mother so I have to put up with it

    I have to forgive her unconditionally

    And a whole lot more

    I speak from ten years of living Hell.

    Then she pouted because she could not have her own way and threw me out

    I have no money because she gave it to the other family members that got drunk and gambled it away while contributing nothing down here

    • I am so sorry.. yes.. this kind of thing happens.. never got to have the chance to be my mothers care giver.. she didn’t want me around much.. I don’t think she liked that I was a Christian.. or.. that my father was Mexican as I later found out .. a sexually abusive family member now has a bench sign praising him for being a good man..

      But our Father loves us. Oh yes. He does.. I understand the poverty thing too.. as He brings you to mind.. I will pray .. for u too.
