Yes,

perhaps you do see a bit of noodle 

flung over my vest

as sassy as can  be,

a bit of hollandaise for the holidays 

to brighten Christmas me,

my devil may care alfredo flounce,

the cranberries dripping down my blouse,

the designer turkey in my purse,

the bagel with cream cheese about to burst,

But

when you said “I’ve  seen everything now!”

well that’s when I began to frown

because …

you never even mentioned

the nutmeg in my ear…
