Praising God for sunlight :)

Change of season, change of hammock:)

I absolutely love drying clothes outside and even more so today as I switch out the Brazilian hammock I sleep in during the winter, for my airy Mayan one which is more like a net than a hammock. Sounds crazy huh? But I started hammock sleeping in 2017 to see if its touted health benefits were real.. and haven’t gone back:)

In 2019 I found out that I was Mexican.. of Mayan descent and that the sleeping habit that I had bonded with, turned out to be that of my ancestors:)

The following poem came awhile back one early morning when I was laying in my hammock really struggling to pray.. when I heard the voices of others lifted around me in prayer.. a special thank you to the inhabitants of Meadow Arc who brought me solace that night, and to the One who created all of us. He is truly good:)

Within this charcoal hammocka

turtle doves perchoo under a midnight sky , dogs question the waning moon, Canadian geese echo sunrise, and

I too, try to pray …weave long feathered notes, into the pregnant belly of between hour song,
