One of our bucket ponds is blooming. These plants can purify and oxygenate the water as well as provide shade for any tiny aquatic habitants which is super important when weather is 100+. Today it’s only supposed to hit 105 F. ( Joke.. but last year we had several days above 110 F … 115 F being our highest. )
In the past the small ponds scattered around Meadow Arc have been home to mosquito fish, dragonfly nymphs, and once even a toad:)
Additionally, they are supposed to lessen temperatures in their vicinity slightly, provide humidity, and water sources for happy splashing birds:)
Did I mention that they’re edible? But you’ve got to cook them first;)

It amazes me how much crops and flowers explode after a good rain and hot weather overnight
