The last couple days I have been crying in wonder

and processing the news…that Kadupul Flower has been acquired to be part of a special collection…by The Poetry Collection for the public university library in Buffalo New York… which is a world renowned repository for 20th and 21st century English language poetry…that loans out items… globally…

and Kadupul is slated to live there..

and you friends, encouraged, supported and prayed..

and although I say this a lot.. I’m going to have to say it again…

thank you ..

because your support has been and is… unforgettable.

My name is Kimberly Vargas Agnese, though I've previously written as Kae Bucher. I was born in the Florida Keys, but grew up in the Bay Area before migrating south to the San Joaquin Valley. As I ride barefoot around Fresno, I consider the paths I've chosen and the crossroads where our country seems to have perched itself. Thanks to my Romani ancestry, many people groups reside within me and my poetry tends to reflect this. I love welcoming the sunrise with my Native American flute. I've been rumored to juggle while teaching students how to write. And if you can't find me, I'm probably hanging out with Jesus listening to parables.

      You nailed it… so much of this journey has and is still processing imposter syndrome… it took both Stephanie and I about two days to even start to accept it…

      but then again.. there is still such a divided between some of the disparities we live in… the obscurity lol… my struggle with illness, the hole in the roof and now.. as of last night .. the broken back window that had to be boarded up with wood until we get a door… and then these types of honors.. where the Lord has called and blessed us to stand.. where we get to represent the wonder and resilience of a community that cannot be contained within a dollar sign… in many ways I see both Stephanie , myself and others as the Kadupul Flower.

  4. Isn’t amazing how the Lord works. My John is always telling me, He gives us the challenges or allows the challenges to be in our lives not only to learn, but those challenges also help us see ourselves in others and others in ourselves. God has blessed your readers with the wonderful, incredible and heartfelt writings you share with us, and I stand in awe of how you keep persevering those challenges and despite it all, you keep sharing your talents with us, your readers. Thank you for all you continue to do. You and Stephanie are a dynamic duo and again, I’m so grateful to be here, present, watching you continue to share your stories and give those pieces of hope, despite the despair.
