A PUBLIC APOLOGY FOR A PUBLIC HUMILIATION

Hello, I am apologizing on behalf of Miss Pollyanna Rue Love, who at 10:00 AM on June 16, 2026, publicly humiliated her Aunt Gal ( otherwise known as Stephanie from Stephanie’s Ninth Suitcase) while at Valley Animal Center by attempting to “ doodle” ( poop) while in the waiting room. Although Stephanie was able to wrangle her outside before the deed was done, she completed her objective once outside on a surface which provided a significant clean up challenge for Aunt Gal.

In spite of this, Miss Rue Love, who resides at Meadow Arc, in Fresno California, has passed a rigorous examination which has granted her acceptance into the prestigious Thornton Dog Park.

My name is Kimberly Vargas Agnese, though I've previously written as Kae Bucher. I was born in the Florida Keys, but grew up in the Bay Area before migrating south to the San Joaquin Valley. As I ride barefoot around Fresno, I consider the paths I've chosen and the crossroads where our country seems to have perched itself. Thanks to my Romani ancestry, many people groups reside within me and my poetry tends to reflect this. I love welcoming the sunrise with my Native American flute.     • Thank you for sharing! Pollyanna has this gift of embarrassment. When she goes to the wave pool .. she is the only one who makes a point to pee in the pool, ( even though we’ve just given her the opportunity to do this in an appropriate place) She sniffs other dogs hindquarters until even they are disgusted with her… and has been known to use a jump through the hoola hoop trick we taught her to launch herself over an aging golden retriever who just wanted to spend time with his owner, the wade pool and the two tennis balls in his mouth.
      Nonetheless, we’re happy and love our sweet generous comedian of a dog. This is her favorite go – to field trip:)

    • I wish I could meet her some day 🙂 Miss Emma is not a spiteful girl until it comes to going to the doctor. They have an area outside for dogs to “visit” before going in. I religiously walk her around the area and she will pee but never poop – until she gets inside. It is her little bit of rebellion against something she hates lol.
