The walls are hot, our kitchen table is hot…lol even the toilet seat is hot. The thing about evaporative cooling is that when temperatures hit above 100… it’s pretty much just hot air being blown around. This is the struggle that lower income Central Valley families face who cannot afford air conditioning.
Weather app says it’s going to be just as hot tomorrow…these are the days when we pray to make it through the hours of heat … watch ice melt in glasses of water… try to keep our heads wet… cuddle up with frozen water bottles.. if we try to do much else.. we get sick from the heat.. sometimes we get sick anyway.
But God always gets us through… nonetheless.. pray for us?
I get it, Kimberly. This has been the hottest summer I can remember in a long time. I am blessed to have been able to buy a secondhand window AC unit from my neighbor, otherwise I would have melted by now, lol. Wanted to mention, our friend Chester and his mom recently gifted Miss Emma a cooling matt and it has been a game changer for Emma. I don’t know how or why it works, but it stays cool to the touch 24/7. Emma barely leaves it these days except to eat and do her business 🙂

No not at all. Sorry if my post was unclear. You don’t have to do a thing. The cooling matt stays cool and comfortable all on its own 🙂
